
This project aims to examine the interplay among family backgrounds, individual ability, academic training, political institutions, career trajectory and socioeconomic attainment in the long run. This project was designed as a panel survey with 2 cohorts of Chinese College Students admitted in fall of 2006 and 2008 in the universities in Beijing. Participants were selected by stratified random sampling. The first wave data collection was completed in the summer of year 2009.
